Snell Lake Trail - This trail meanders through stands of mature lodgepole and mountain hemlock. It provides access to Effie, Snell and Meek Lakes. Biking is allowed on the southern portion of the Snell Lake Trail (also known s Meek Lake Trail). Forest regulations prohibit use of motorized vehicles on this trail due to Wilderness status to the north and for the prevention of soil erosion to the south.

Directions from Crescent Lake Junction: Via State Highway 58, turn south onto highway going to Crescent Lake. Take first paved road, FRS #60, after crossing the railroad tracks. Follow this road for 5 miles. Turn right on Forest Service Road #6010 going to Summit Lake. Approximately 5 miles up Road #6010, Trail #43 crosses the road.
