Siltstone Wines - The winemaking philosophy of the Myers family is to produce an expression of the unique characteristics of the vineyards of the North Willamette Valley. The valley, directly influenced by the Pacific Ocean only 40 miles to the west, is a prime location for growing Pinot noir, Pinot gris and Riesling. Marine air moves into the valley each evening, cooling the summer and fall days. This provides optimum gradual ripening conditions. The climate, coupled with astute vineyard management practices, results in a wine requiring limited intervention, allowing the natural terroir expression.
